Has anybody else had the email about the advanced ordering R pass and considering?

Looks quite decent from all the photos available so far….. I was about to pull trigger on an ex30 but thinking now….

I’m very impressed https://www.renault.co.uk/electric-vehicles/r5-e-t...

I think Renault has cracked it and these will fly out the door.

Small town car, great quirky looks, good range and affordable. What an ev should be!!

I’ll pass on the R pass gimmick as I’m wanting to take advantage of employer salary sacrifice scheme as an income tax deduction and have been looking at ix1, ex30, macan (for around a day until I spec’d one with some basic essentials and shuddered at the price). But this Renault is really all I need for a daily, drive to work, shops, drop kids off car which will be run along side several ICE cars. I’ll be ordering one as soon as possible, in pop yellow of course !!

The only downside I can see is there won’t be a physical cars until early 2025 in the U.K…….will just need to wait.

All I'll say is, be prepared for those ICE cars gathering dust if it's your first EV biggrin

Naaaah that’s very unlikely!!

I’ve drove a few over the past years never owned one I just never had an urge to buy one as I couldn’t see an ev work with our needs but I’m starting to come round to having one for the everyday town driving mundane stuff, alongside a RR l405 for the bigger family stuff & a few toys it’ll have its place.

Audi gave me a etron GT as a loan car when I had my R8 in for some warranty work last year it drove well, first few launches were comical, but it run out of steam a bit too early. Other than that it was just another mainstream modern boring car. Interior not unpleasant but completely uninteresting.

Had the same with a Model 3. I just drove it around (as in daily driving) like my BMW 120d Auto and tbh there wasn't much difference. It's quieter but the BMW was pretty quiet too. All you really need for daily driving is ease of use and comfort. EVs can do this but, IMO, not any better/worse than an ICE vehicle. Both have some minor 'cons' and plenty of 'pros'.
