Guys as we head to £45k I’m looking at the perfect spec for a Taycan which appeals but also for my social media.

Performance plus
4wd
Not the wide 5 spoke wheels yuk

Colour subjective but mambo or blue for me

What else?

I understand there are a lot of options for the interior, I hired one for a day presumably base spec and didn't rate the interior that much, so I think those could make quite a difference.

If it's for social media, shouldn't you get a RWD model, stick a lurid wrap and some TE37s on it and do a bit of drifting?

PH just did one, didn't they?

Also, head over to the Taycan Forum for a lot of discussion on options.

Options are sooooooo subjective that it's a big fat "it depends". And as much as residuals have been kicked in the nuts, at 45k you're going to be disappointed if you have a list of 20 "must haves".

There is no perfect spec. It really depends on what one's key criteria are.

If it's being under £50k, your perfect spec is one of the 6 available.

If you need to regularly use the back seats and aren't one of Snow White's friends, you need a CT/ST (cheapest of those is 60k).

Bigger battery is likely a key one, though even there, there will be people who don't need more than the std battery.

4wd or not?

Beyond that, it gets even more subjective. I had to have a pano roof (interior ambience, keeping the kids quiet)... I know if some for whom that would be a categoric no.

Etc.

You need to decide on framing what "perfect" is constrained by. Because for most people there will be some smile

Alcantara on the wheels, and also on the headlining, including mirror surround
Gold - wheels, door handles, etc
Ceramic brakes - so the wheels stay clean
Rear brake across the whole back
Burmeister ICE

I would disagree with all of those, apart from Rear brake across the whole back which I have no idea what that means, which shows how subjective options are.

For me essentials are pano roof, nicer wheels than base spec, park assist with surround view, folding mirrors, fifth seat, rear airbags. Everything else is a nice to have and just those options above it would be pretty basic. I would like full leather interior, better colour than base, rear-steering, better lights than standard, better seats, better stereo, comfort access, sport sound, sport chrono, rear heated seats, head-up display, ambient lighting, dimming mirrors, etc. etc.

For a second hand one as many options as possible but you get what you are given at the bottom end of the market.
