Mrs Fungle has little interest in accruing multiple apps or searching for obscure charging locations on ZapMap.

Fortunately the bulk of her journeys means the car is either charged at work or at the very nearby council charging point.

However a recent question to me as a passenger of 'where is the nearest rapid charger?' made me realise finding the charger or knowing what the app situation would be is far from ideal.

So, is there a current gold-standard solution?

FWIW current car is an iPace that is soon to be replaced by something similarly 'executive' but not a Tesla.

Electroverse app from octopus. It replaces the separate apps and payment systems for the majority of public chargers, also has a decent map to find the chargers.

Although for years I just used google maps on my phone to find the closest chargers..

I’m fairly new to the EV world but have found Electroverse and Zapmap to be very easy to use. Between the two I’ve never failed to find a charger within 30 seconds or pay for one when I’m there.

Considering they tell you where they are, what speed they are, if they’re available and how much they cost…it couldn’t be any easier.

ipace has that info in the Navigation app. Enter destination and it can be configured to also show nearest fast chargers

A tired trip home from the airport wasn't the time for me to ask ' does the in-built Nav not do this?' biggrin
