Anyone having issues with OVO EV tarrif?
Discussion
We've had the OVO anytime tariff for a while now, and had absolutely no issues, however over xmas I've found that the car is no longer charging during the night and seems to charge at random times.
For example, I've got the anytime app set to have the car charged to 80% by 8am, and I've just checked, it's at 57% (was 45% last night), currently charging and the app says it'll be ready for 8am tomorrow morning, WTF, what about today? It looks like it hasn't put in any charge at all overnight, but seems to want to charge this morning, when I'd assume demand is higher.
Has anyone else experienced any issues lately?
Tesla Model 3.
Edit: I've checked the Indra app as it shows when the car started charging. Charge started at around 6am this morning.

It's hard to say for sure when it will charge, as by default they'll pick the cheapest slots for them that still get you to the desired charge level in time for your departure time. The fact it's not done that is definitely incorrect so you should report it to them, something has clearly gone wrong with their control (are they controlling the car or the charger out of interest?)
Sometimes if they're controlling the car rather than the charger, it can be more hit and miss as I gather some manufacturers get unhappy with the volume of requests made by tariffs like these and have started blocking them, which renders the supplier incapable of charging the car.

It's communicating directly with the car.Sometimes if they're controlling the car rather than the charger, it can be more hit and miss as I gather some manufacturers get unhappy with the volume of requests made by tariffs like these and have started blocking them, which renders the supplier incapable of charging the car.
I've got an Indra charger, but last I heard, they didn't support OVO Anytime.

Definitely worth talking with Ovo then, I heard that Audi have been a bit stingy, as have Ford, in terms of blocking supplier access to the car, haven't heard of any others but I'm sure it happens.
I've just checked again, and it looks like the Intra app supports OVO Anytime time, so I've linked the charger and removed the vehicle from my OVO account. Let's see if that makes any difference. No I seem to be having other issues.
If I click the boost button in the Indra app, it says it's starting to charge, then stops.
I've tried to add the vehicle back onto the OVO Anytime app, but it says it can't connect with the car.
I can see the car in the Tesla app, and communicate with it just fine.

Working ok for us still on both ID3 and Born.
There have been issues with Audi though I'm aware of on the Ovo forum - seems to be a problem with the Audi Server end rather than Ovo, but that stopped the car charging entirely as it wasn't sharing its location with the Ovo app so a different sounding problem to yours.

Has anyone noticed a problem recently? Basically mine and my wife cars (both Teslas) will go on charge fine and update the app, but they never seem to update the app when it stops charging. Even after 3 days of not being on charge, the app says ‘still charging’ as the last updated time and date was when it went on charge.
I don’t know what this means for the credit. Will I get it? Does it catch up when I next plug it in? Starting to think this charge anytime is more hassle than it’s worth and I’ll just go on octopus or something.

Have you both got the app on your phones using different Anytime accounts but linked to the same Ovo 'mothership' account? There was a recent change where you can only have one Anytime account linked to one Ovo account?I don’t know what this means for the credit. Will I get it? Does it catch up when I next plug it in? We had it so my wife and I both had separate Anytime accounts and as per the email that came round this was going to cease working from 2nd May. Just delete one or other of your apps (follow the email instructions as you need to remove the cars first and then delete the Anytime account). Worked fine for us.

Just to add, one part that doesn't work with this approach is both phones and their corresponding Anytime apps having both cars registered on them! I did this initially and it seemed to work ok, but as soon as it came to charge a car, the two phones had different time slots for charging (i.e. mine was saying 11pm for the ID3 and hers was saying 2am for the same car). When it got to 11pm, the car started charging as normal, but then stopped charging about a minute later and then just kept cycling every couple of minutes or so... I decided that the two apps were having a fight with one starting then the other stopping and decided to delete the second car off each phone before it shorted out the house Worked as normal since doing that.We had it so my wife and I both had separate Anytime accounts and as per the email that came round this was going to cease working from 2nd May. No only I have the OVO and charge anytime apps so it’s not that.
Like I say, it ‘updates’ when plugging in, just not when unplugging.
If it catches up then I don’t care but if it doesn’t I’m paying the full whack for charging and I would imagine getting that credit back will prove difficult given it’s almost impossible to get through to the charge anytime team

Right so I have an answer to my problem above.
Turns out that OVO cannot handle 2 of the same manufacturers on the one account (ie my and my wife’s Teslas). It was fine when she had her Cupra born but not now she’s changed and it’s taken OVO weeks to confess to this. So it won’t currently work with either car. The workaround is to only have one car on the app at any one time so I have to delete one each time and add the other. Bit of a pain
However despite them admitting it’s their fault and there’s nothing they can do they are refusing to give me any credit for the 5 or 6 charges I have done in the time it’s taken for them to tell me this. Very disappointing

Will it work if your wife gets the app too and you each have a single car per phone? We've got an ID3 and a Born working this way. Both apps use the same login details for a single Anytime account and also into the same Ovo master account.
Oh, one other thought, have you tried naming the cars to see if that'll have divert it's confusion (i.e. call yours Tim before then adding her car, Tina ) clutching at straws with that one though clearly!!
Yeah the cars are named (daft names) individually.
They said it’s down to them both being Teslas. One is a Model S and the other a model 3.
Different apps don’t matter, it’s the same manufacturer on the same OVO account (or so they tell me).
All I can do is their workaround (which is a pain but not the end of the world)
