What is the truth about replacement batteries?

Are stories like this, really believable ?
The battery part number is quoted as 37501-GI351, with a price Canadian $56,649.98.
I presume anyone buying using PCP with new car warranty, would not be concerned (the owner featured in the video now has an insurance write-off claim in his record), although would more rapid depreciation affect final values (GMV)?
Has anyone here had experience of minor battery damage, and can tell us what really happens?
A battery priced at a higher cost that the new vehicle, seems very far fetched.
Don't know tbh but think there's definitely more to the story.
This came to mind

Followed by the owner claiming he only drove over a stone.
I watched the video the other day, out of interest, but it's just another scare story. A balanced story would've had technical rationale from the dealership, why they didn't escalate to Hyundai etc etc.
As we're unlikely to ever hear the full facts I'm ignoring completely and wouldn't put me off an IONIQ or other Hyundai.

Given those cars haven't even been out long enough to out live the battery warranty, I'm not sure why you would need to spend that on a battery.
Failing youtubers have realised these videos get crazy views, so are churning them out any which way they can.Somehow I was recommended the video above even though I've never seen the channel before and don't subscribe to anything like that, so it's also possible it's mega promoted.

Not me, but a close friend had a battery repair (electrically faulty, not impact damaged) and it cost £3,000 for one "module" - there are 24 modules.
Car was only £30,000 when it was new.
And surely in the case of repairs it would often be that one or two modules would need to be replaced as opposed to all of them.Car was only £30,000 when it was new.
Pretty sure all Teslas come with a 8 year battery warranty. Unless you have a very very early car you shoudl still be in warranty for any battery issues.
If it's damaged due to negligence, you are on your own, just as your engine would be if it was a ICE car.
I've previously had a 9k estimate for a new DSG box from Audi...... not including labour.
