My mother suffers with Multiple Sclerosis so requires a "pope-mobile" style Motability vehicle to get around. They have been offered one of these for April (or the Peugeot equivalent).
They don't currently have charging facilities at home. The home backs onto a cul-de-sac, where they have a designated parking space. In theory they could run a charger off of a pedestal installed the other side of the fence - or just inside and run the cable under the gate (which might be more secure).
Only the long wheelbase Berlingo / Rifter can be converted to have the ramp access tailgate (surprised it's even possible; I'd have thought batteries were in the floor?).
Motability told my parents it had a 224 mile range?
I've told him to realistically take 1/3rd off of that (based on my experience with a Tesla which can allegedly do 354 miles!)
The only problem would be their holidays. They regularly do Hertfordshire to Cornwall / Devon or South Wales. In the summer holidays. Could be a proper pain in the backside.
