Lotus set to launch charging network?
Discussion
Is this mere fluff or is Lotus set to try and rival Tesla's network of superchargers - well I say Louts, but the reality is it's (obviously) Geely. I suspect that having the financial clout of Geely could well make this an interesting development

Well done to Lotus for designing a very rapid charger that is clearly gaining interest and selling already.
But no, Lotus aren't capable of launching a charging network themselves on anything like the scale of the Tesla network. It will be third parties buying the technology that roll out new networks and/or add to their existing networks.

This is just extremely bad journalism. 'Beat Tesla' is only in the headline to generate clicks. The phrase 'Lotus says its network will be open to vehicles from other manufacturers' in the article is not even conjecture, it's just plain wrong.
If you go back to the original Lotus press release, there's absolutely nothing about a network there. This is purely about hardware, which will be sold to network operators, which won't be Lotus themselves and most likely won't even be Geely.
