I’m looking at buying a 27k mile and 24 month old Kia e-Niro (seemed to be in a depreciation sweet spot for warranty). I’ve asked them to confirm the state of health of the battery. What state of health/ charge should I expect?

We just bought a 2020 with 41k miles on the clock and although I haven't checked the battery health, it still gets 280 miles driving around town which is what they're supposed to do. I don't think they suffer much.

There's a standard battery and extended range option on the 2020 e-Niro (my sister has one through work) so checks would be needed. smile

It’s the 64kwh one, so longer range. Thanks

I think most people buying these at this age are just going by the fact that the battery will be under warranty for a good while yet (I believe 7 years and 100k miles like the rest of the car), and as said there aren't many reported issues, so aren't worrying about battery health too much. Even the Kia dealer I asked about an approved used e-Niro didn't have anything to offer in terms of checking the battery health.
