I always loved the original 1980s Motocompo 2 stroke trunk bike so to see Honda are releasing this little EV version of the "last mile" personal vehicle is great news, Id love one but I expect the UK laws as they are to forbid its use, which is a shame.

The laws in this country need a serious overhaul, id happily ride that to work if i was allowed.
Definitely, if riden properly on the roads with insurance and some form of registration, and appropriate rules in place.Although not sure what this Honda offers over current electric scooters or folding electric bicycles, other than looking like an electric wall mounted heater.

I agree that they could actually be a very good transport option if they were to become legal and managed properly.

Its an odd situation, the Govt want us out of our cars but the logical vehicle for people to use is not allowed unless you go in for lots of paperwork and a test/helmet/plates etc.

State of that. It's for wannabees and nerdy pumpers.
Where can i sign up!
What's a pumper?Where can i sign up!
Just for clarity, would I be the "pumper" or the Pumpee ?
I'm going to buy one if it opens up these sorts of opportunities.

It's fantastic, US Pricing seems to be $1000 flat.. almost tempting to try getting one imported as it doesn't look like they will release them here.
It won’t be road legal here, but at that price I’d buy one just to take to car/bike meets. Hopefully the laws catch up; There's still enough unregistered EScooters around and the Rentals are not that great, but prior to the more aggressive enforcement I used to see lots of people using them entirely reasonably and responsibly.
It'd be ideal for me; The station is just a touch too close to be worth driving, and a touch too far to be walkable - And the bike parking is awful - Not much, exposed and insecure - Being able to fold up and take it with me on the train as a suitcase would be perfect, and it'd be usable in Central London too.
They've done well to make it so weildy - Bromptons and the like are still a slightly gangly mess of cables, cogs and protuberances that get caught on things and make you filthy with chain grease.
