Just a heads up for any subscribers who might not be aware.

7k cars in their fleet apparently, so unsurprisingly the significant drop in used EV values and rising interest rates has meant their shareholders have pulled the plug on further bail out investment.

We’ve been using them for a number of years so will be interesting to see what happens next.

They also appear to have taken their community forum offline.

They will be 'bought' for pennies on the pound and back open very quickly.

That sucks. I was with them when they were Evezy. It felt like a much more intimate company back then, a little club of us as subscribers. They grew very fast, and given the fact electricity prices have jacked up (they offered free charging with BP, Shell and Instavolt) and used cars have cratered in value, it always seemed like they could go to the wall.

This is a shame but the EV market has been up and down since its beginning and I am sure lots of larger players have had some very difficult decisions to make in the past couple of years. Instead of the market growing steadily it has been like a roller coaster and that makes growth very risky.

We got the email last night as ex Evezy/Onto customers, only left them last year when the rates started getting ridiculous for anything medium to long term, we had been with them over 3 years and experienced a i3, ID3 and e208 GT, as has been said at the beginning it was very customer centric, then grew, Covid will have seen loads of cars handed back as well.

Its a shame to see them go as they had some good ideas and really good staff, hope they find homes.
