So are we saying that the future is a choice between battery power and demon power?

I noticed it.

The street where the bookshop is, is only a ground floor set with CGI and green screens on a sound stage. It's all inside, so from a practical point of view, it's logical to use EV's.

Crowley's Bentley is mostly CGI.

We use ICE cars all the time on set...

Everything that is shown as part of a production is for the sake of the story. It would never be the case that an ICE car was swapped for an EV for practical reasons. If the story says ICE car, you use an ICE car - you never fake or substitute something if you don't need too.

Well then, the story must be about EV's. Suits me fine.

Obviously not about EV's.. But there will be a reason for the EV's... In fairness it might not actually be a requirement of the story but it will definitely be deliberate - whatever motivated that choice.

I’m thinking that Aziraphale surrounds himself with EVs to keep the serenity of his bookshop. When he went to Edinburgh they were traditional ICE vehicles.
