Hi all.

Thought I would pop a post up on this. On the iPace Facebook page, someone posted a link up to the JLR Topix recall checker.

Mines come up with this

Apparently the high voltage batteries can overheat/could be a fire hazard. Whilst at the dealership, they will update the battery control module

This can be checked here--

Looking on the Facebook group, none of the members had been contacted, not great for what could be a dangerous issue

There must be a way of pushing an email out to owners of affected cars, or even through the in control app maybe.

No ideas for a name

From your Topix posting, it does say that 2021 - 2024 model year vehicles will have this software update done OTA, so it follows that most owners won't need to go in for the recall.

I guess many have been updated as part of the normal service operations too (pre 2021 MY vehicles).

I guess the recall letter is now just sweeping up any remaining vehicles that still need attention.

mine was delivered mid 2020 - peak covid so rather than the typical boring handover the guy just parked it on my drive and when I opened the front door he slung me the keys and scuttled off biggrin

But so far as I'm aware I haven't had the update. I've had one service of course but they went through all that was involved in that, car health check etc and I feel sure they would have mentioned the update - yet no recall letter for me.

As i said above, the car lease is up in a couple of weeks so no big deal, just a bit odd.
