We have the 80, in basic spec though. Great motor. Very good quality and good range. In the summer we could get 280+, winter 240ish. Only issue we have had is the charging system has been flaky. It is now in for a massive part replacement to try and fix this, and has been so for over three weeks. Apart from that, I would thoroughly recommend it.
Enyaq is a great car, I had one on order BUT there is a MY2024 coming with an 85kw battery, substantial power boost, faster charging and version 4 software.
Version 4 and future enhacements will NOT be compatible with the current Enyaq so I had a choice of waiting for MY2024 which is to be launched with the L&K version, but there is no date for this.
I couldnt stomach having something on order that was already obsolete in my opinion.
Ordered a Nissan Ariya instead, slightly less boot but even more kit and a much more modern place to be for the same money.
FWIW I had a 2WD 80 Sportline Plus on order.

I saw one of those the other day. Looks nice from the outside, but the inside is hideous (in my opinion obviously). Like the ID 4 and ID 3, they are going full out spaceship. Maybe it's my age, but I prefer a much more traditional dash layout. No idea on the spec though.Version 4 and future enhacements will NOT be compatible with the current Enyaq so I had a choice of waiting for MY2024 which is to be launched with the L&K version, but there is no date for this.

The Ariya has all the usual dials and stuff digitally in front of the wheel anyway in fact much more traditional than the Enyaqs micro display plus more physical (OK haptic) buttons on the dash trim.
Nonetheless, if I had maintained any confidence in Skoda being able to deliver me something and not immediately make it out of date I'd have probably stuck but boredom and impatience meant I went elsewhere.
Just bought an Enqaq!
Excited, can’t wait to pick it up
To replace my 2014 Superb diesel
92000 trouble free miles
January 2024 car, under 5k miles
Some good options for me, the cognac leather interior & sunroof
Under £30k from main dealer
It’s the 80, not as quick as the new 85
But a new 85, same spec, £47k+ ..

I was pretty much convinced I'd be going for one right up until I test drove one. After about 5 minutes I turned round and took it back to the dealer thinking there was something wrong with it!
The road just outside the dealership is a bit broken up. Not deep potholes, just some cracked concrete, but in the Enyak you would've thought you were driving over a rock garden! I'd driven at least four other cars over the same spot in the days before (my own XC60 and other test drives from other dealers in the same spot) and in those you barely felt it. It was weird!

I was impressed with the ride !
The one i’m getting has the standard 19” wheels with big rubber..
The bigger wheels look better.. but the numerous reviews say the smaller ones ride better.
Also has a package which includes acoustic side windows & more sound deadening.
The pcp was quite high, but gets £1000 off & servicing etc. I’ll pay that off after a few weeks, you keep the perks.

Might just have had bonkers tyre pressures? The road just outside the dealership is a bit broken up. If you Withdraw within 14 days it'll cost hundreds less and you you still keep the incentives unless they've clamped down on doing this - done it three times now, twice on Skoda's last year. On wife's nearly-new Karoq the dealer told us to do it (but I already knew).Sheepshanks said:

I also noticed that someone else on here had a very similar experience.
A few months ago I tried the Enyaq VRS. A few minutes into the drive my wife said an emphatic NO and we returned. The ride wasn't particularly hard but the road noise was extremely loud. It sounded like the windows were open.
In the case of the VRS the interior seemed to amplify the noise, which mostly was from the rear. Maybe the sloping roof reflects forwards.
The 85X was a bit quieter.

Actually, that's a very good point. It didn't feel like the car was being shaken apart, it just sounded like it was!In the case of the VRS the interior seemed to amplify the noise, which mostly was from the rear. Maybe the sloping roof reflects forwards.

Possibly, but then you'd have to wonder why the dealer let it go out like that? He didn't even seem surprised when I gave it back 5 minutes into an agreed 1 hour test drive.

Yeah was me. Slow speed bumps sounded like the suspension wasn’t attached. Beyond that it’s one of the few EVs that for me the weight was apparent too.I also noticed that someone else on here had a very similar experience.
That and the overall looks meant it went off the list.

May be a Skoda thing - my wife's Karoq did that until they figured out they needed to grease the front shock absorber pistons because they rattle in the bump stops. Doesn't seem much but on some road surfaces it sounded like the front of the car was going to collapse!Gassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
