After a long period of owning a Zoe and primarily charging at home, we've had a few months off. We have a Born on order so will be back in the EV world in a few months. It's time to upgrade the knowledge of Mrs Bert and me about tariffs home and public, types of chargers home and public, the best ways to find public chargers etc.

Are there any resources with information and articles on such matters? There's loads of very knowledge people on here and I wonder where they get that knowledge!

Cheers
Bert.

What got me started:
  • https://abetterrouteplanner.com/ (and the app) - get an idea how long the trip takes and where to charge
  • https://chargemap.com/map (and the app) - create an account, check options/alternatives where to charge
  • Check how the battery preconditioning works in the car (can have a big impact on charging speed on a fast charger)
  • See how the typical charge curve looks like - end of this page made me think that 50 vs 150kW doesn't make much of a difference with Born if battery is more than half full.
