Hi guys, my CU is by my front door, facing the drive. I am having a new CU put in with a smart meter in March/ April.

Installer is recommending Easee 7.4kw or My Engery Zappi.

Anyone got any experience of either of these

No plans for solar charging in the near future.

I've got a zappi installed, still waiting for my car but friends e-Niro and PHEV have charged with no problem. App seems very useful in terms of function.

I did notice you've got no plans for solar or batteries, I'm getting these installed at the moment hence the choice of the zappi.

Both good but the Zappi is a lot bigger than the Easee because it is essentially an older design (but nothing wrong with it). I'd be inclined to go with the smaller, neater and more modern looking Easee.

I have a Zappi and it’s been reliable, on the only occasion I have had a problem their support was very good, something that we sometimes overlook.

Do you have any plans for solar or a battery? Any requirements for load limiting etc? All worth considering how the chargers work with those if they are a consideration and also look at the app for both and see which you prefer.

I find looking at the twitter accounts is always a good gauge of how many users are complaining at the company about poor usage and how the company responds.

We were looking at EO Charging today co-incidentally. Wow, dire but so are many manufacturers. But then people are much more likely to complain than give praise.

Absolutley, it's only a gauge but will show you the sort of common issues people are having.
