Finally got a build and delivery date - Volvo XC40 twin
Discussion
Is that the 2024 model with increased range? I ordered one at the end of December, and although my app tells me it's built and on the way to the dealer (i currently have a single motor XC40) a quick call to Volvo confirms I don't yet have a build slot.
I'm wondering if there's much chance of it turning up in the summer...the 4WD and additional range will be really useful over my current one.

Hi AMV93
Coincidently that's a question I asked, will it be the newer one, increased range, matrix headlights and faster charging, unfortunately was informed it was the 2023 model and it's the newer 2024 that has the improvements. I was offered the chance to change my order but I'm not prepared to wait any longer.
Is yours the twin motor?

My current is a single motor 'Plus' model. I got very lucky when they released some stock cars into the Care By Volvo pool back in September so I collected it a week after ordering online. I wanted a twin motor 'Ultimate' but that meant a long wait for a factory order. I'm on the 3 month subscription so it was always my intention to order another, when the updated model was announced I ordered it there and then.Coincidently that's a question I asked, will it be the newer one, increased range, matrix headlights and faster charging, unfortunately was informed it was the 2023 model and it's the newer 2024 that has the improvements. If you have any questions about the car I'd be more than happy to answer them, I've lived with it for nearly 5 months and 4k miles now.

Finally the Volvo app has given me a delivery date, although in 1 month it's gone from April to June. Quick call to Volvo to confirm April build with (hopefully) late May / early June delivery.
Car ordered last May. Just thought it might be useful information for anyone waiting.
If you're purchasing through Care By Volvo, they have a stock twin motor ultimate in blue ready to deliver. This is how I got mine, the website says 5 weeks but mine took 1.Car ordered last May. Just thought it might be useful information for anyone waiting.

Thanks AMV93,
I've bought mine outright, care by Volvo wouldn't work for me. Couple of questions, does it now have apple carplay and I appreciate you've got the single motor version but what sort of real world range are you seeing?
Thanks
Our c40 registered March 2022 has CarPlay (though it’s not working at the moment)I've bought mine outright, care by Volvo wouldn't work for me. Couple of questions, does it now have apple carplay and I appreciate you've got the single motor version but what sort of real world range are you seeing?

Yep it has CarPlay, although cable only. I've bought mine outright, care by Volvo wouldn't work for me. Couple of questions, does it now have apple carplay and I appreciate you've got the single motor version but what sort of real world range are you seeing?

Real world range has been a bit of a disappointment, it’s fairly inefficient as EV’s go. Currently a full charge shows 180 miles which is about right for mixed use. I don’t think I’ve managed 200 miles from a charge yet but I’ve only had it since October so hopefully the warmer weather will improve things.
I had a dual motor demo car for a couple of days and did manage a 200 mile trip in that one with it still showing 30 miles remaining, although that was back in August when it was warm.
Just had our VRN and the "when do you want it" call. They were taken aback by our "not until April" request as usually its ASAP.
Our ID3 shows about 180-200 this time of year with 58kw battery and although the C40 is bigger I'm expecting the same range, so good to know AM, thanks.
Yeah I know Airplay works but even though it's Google based maps I don't think Android auto works yet
