Looking at a load of ex lease EVs at the moment and even the ones which are a year or so old seem to significantly be late with their services. Like months and 3-5k miles.

I realise that for the point of view of the reliability of the car this makes no difference particularly in the age group (pollen filter may be 6 months older than it should be...) but the effect of the warranty if E. G. the traction battery fails is worth thinking about? Nothing in the forum that I can see that discusses this re EVs.

Hyundai warranty states it may affect warranty claims but spending a lot for us (20K) I'd like there to be as little as possible for the company to be able to wriggle out of. I always remember the company VAG that I had that was 2 years old and had done 62k miles (warranty 60k and 3 years) and not even a gesture of goodwill was forthcoming for the new engine (for a fault that was known to be manifacturing related, don't think the civil action ever went anywhere)

Were they late during covid?

lots of places gave an exemption because of lockdowns and the impossibility of getting a service.
