Audi Activesphere concept looks brilliant
Discussion
I do like the idea of a proper 'go anywhere' (within reason) EV SUV. This concept looks obviously compromised by the impractically low roofline but as a concept, it's great!
I have an iPace and I spec'd the air suspension and it has all the terrain response stuff from Landrover, hill climb/descent etc, it's remarkably effective, EV's are very good mild off road platforms because they have a motor per axle so effectively a locked centre diff and loads of very finely controlled torque on tap. They can also wade very competently as no air high flow intake or risk of hydro-locking.
If you're going to spend a chunk on a pricey EV it's great if it can deal with just about any journey, An EV SUV should be a properly capable vehicle, because by nature they can be.
