I know we're generally not crossover/SUV fans here, but I think this looks great.

Can anyone work out how big that actually is from the photos?

I’d love one if it’s a reasonable size (not too big)

It shares the SPA2 platform with the forthcoming electric XC90, so quite big. I imagine probably Audi e-tron would be an example of a current car at a similar size.

Looks nice but hope the entertainment system is replaced over the P2 which I found slow, dated and generally not nice to use.

Really, I think the Google system is wonderful. How long ago did you have your P2?

I wonder if it's got the same underpinnings as the LOTUS Eletra...

No idea of when it will be released in the UK.
I am liking what I see, but initially launched in USA (and China?), no mention of UK release….

I don’t think so. The Eletre is on the EPA (Electric Premium Architecture) platform that is unique to Lotus. The P3 uses Volvo’s SPA2 platform.

It's a really nice looking car, if my finances and need extended to a bigger vehicle I's be all over this.

So the rumoured specs for the launch edition P3’s are;

4.9m long; 2.99m wheelbase; 1.97m wide
484L boot expanding to 1411L with seats down

DM LR 111 kWh, 610km = 378mi WLTP, guessing ~300mi EPA; 489 hp, 840Nm, € 88,600
DM Performance 111 kWH, 560lm = 347mi WLTP, guessing ~278mi EPA, 519hp, 910Nm, € 95,200

air suspension, pano roof, B&W audio in those trims;
21" wheels, Brembos on LR spec
22" + upgrades brakes + gold seatbelts in Performance

Those look good specs and the price is within my range - looking forward to placing my order

I'm not too clued up on electric cars so can anyone tell me why this seems to be so popular here?
Compared to e-tron or the Tesla model Y? Even the kia ev6?

I just can't see beyond 0-60, range and the size when looking at modern electric cars. They're just all much the same to me.

Styling, build quality, interior design, suspension setup, infotainment etc. etc.

Would you consider every car with a 2.0 Diesel engine essentially the same in comparison? Is a Ford Mondeo no different to an Audi A6? Or a Toyota Corolla no different to a Mercedes E-Class or BMW 5- Series other than being a bit smaller?

I wonder why they’ve gone with Bowers & Wilkins for the audio?

All looks great, though I’d have liked/expected a bit more boot capacity.

Probably because that’s the premium sound system that goes into Volvos. To be fair my V60 Polestar Engineered has the B&W sound and it’s brilliant.

Whenever I need a lot of boot space, e.g. for bikes or furniture, I just fold the rear seats down.

That boot’s too small - for my wife and daughters anyway. Even smaller than the iX. My xc90 is over 700l so may have to see what the Embla is like, though I don’t really want 7 seats
