EV Charging Point Installation - SE London/NW Kent
Discussion
I used ChargedEV, the install is OK but it took a few missed appointments (various excuses) before it happened.
Mate used Podpoint and is very happy, they even replaced a connector that he drove over by mistake FOC. They have a reputation for charging a bit more but not trying to surcharge every little extra thing that an install may need.
I got a quote from https://www.srgelectrical.com/ who were very helpful but the cost was a bit more than than the majors even with the OLEV grant - worth a try if you have anything that's outside the usual basic install that the big firms offer - long or tricky cable runs, etc.

guy was early, very professional and you couldn't tell he had lifted the blocks after, they also ran a spare cable for when the OH gets an EV

It hasn't. Hadn't heard anything by lunchtime on install day, so called them up to be told the installer had called in sick and should have let me know. Appointment moved to the next day. Next day comes and get a call in the morning to say they're off sick again, appointment arranged for the next soonest, which is Friday 4th October. Not much I can do at this point, but I'll be pretty displeased if they don't turn up this time. My new Model 3 is currently charging at a snail's pace from a regular socket in my garage.

Thanks for the update - how thoroughly irritating! My i3 took a while charging from a regular socket, and it has a much smaller battery than a Model 3.Gassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
