I have permission to put a post in with 2 30amp chargers in front of our allocated parking spaces at home (they are next to each other so one post will cover both spaces)

Ideally one where we can lock unlock charging with our phone NCF to stop people using whilst we are at work

Any recommendations?

any recommendations for an installer in NW Kent?

Hi Dave,

From 1 July 2019 all chargers must have RFID or similar if you want to get the OLEV grant. I can't speak from experience of Rolec but they've been about quite a long time and I doubt they are unreliable.

I'd say, look at the EO Charging MINI that we fit (unfortunately you are outside of our area). They are the smallest on the market and much nicer to have fitted to the wall of your house than any of the older, larger chargers like ROLEC/Podpoint. That said, these older style ones (like older mobile phones) are cheaper as a result, but not by a lot.

Don't know anything about the Growatt charger.

I've been told the same thing (we're up in Birmingham). Haven't made a decision yet on which one we're going for (waiting on quotes).

Thanks for the info, I was not clear in explaining the RFID i was referring to was a keycard that is swiped to unlock the charger as we have communal parking area

The chargers also have to fit onto a post

Ah ok. Chargers like the EO Mini Pro have Apps that you can use to switch them on/off, monitor progress, schedule charging too which might be easier? Unless this is for everyone to use?
