From that link: "World’s first full electric British hypercar". What on earth is that meant to mean? hehe

What is the relevance to ordinary people?

Battery production should be ring fenced for cheaper EVs and only build these things when supply has caught up with demand.

Of course it is both boring and far far behind other manufacturers, they have no experience of EV's at all......they have never even collaborated with any project with anything to do with EV's....Never even produced a Hybrid development car such as the Evora 414.

"Well, we knew that Lotus personnel had been working with the folks from Tesla Motors on their sexy electric roadster, and today we received a bit of interesting related news. According to a report on EDP24.com (the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press website), Group Lotus' involvement with the Tesla Roadster project is now very much official: the Roadster will be built by Lotus at its Hethel facility."

For an outfit somewhere in Norfolk, that has limited to no budget, have oh so nearly gone to the wall so many times, they are not doing bad.

Hence Hypercar title, I wouldn't expect it to cost the same as a Evora biggrin

Yup, and I'm usually the best Austrian lefty on any golf course wink.

Still, I wish them all the success -- especially if they use it as a tech show piece and elements are meant to filter down to mortal price points...

Having been at the factory a few weeks ago, I can assure you that you’re the tedious one. A lot of exciting stuff going on there.

It's a good strategy, it'll give them loads of PR and coverage. It doesn't matter how much it costs etc. as 99.9999% will not be able to afford one but will marvel at what it looks like and does.
