Britain's electricity mix over last 12 months approximately:

Nuclear 20.1% Gas 40.6% Coal 3.5%
Wind 16.2% Solar 4.0% Hydro 1.2%
Biomass 6.2% Import 7.5% Storage 0.7%

Generation 268TWh
Carbon intensity 257 gCO2e/kWh
vs a target of 50-100 gCO2eq/kWh by 2030

Heading the right way reducing the worst carbon making fuels, also means changing to an EV isn't just displacing where the emissions are.

"Heading the right way" but with a helluva distance still to go.
There's a lot of focus on electricity but that is only 25 - 30% of primary energy....the rest is all fossil fuel.
It's going to be a long, tough haul.
