Hi folks,
I have much more stuff on video, but I can't see how to display that here without contravening the posting policy.
Perhaps its OK if a long time member posts it?I have much more stuff on video, but I can't see how to display that here without contravening the posting policy.

How much is it?
Are there displays of new and up coming technology, bare chassis, sectioned parts etc.? 3rd party after market EV support, how can I hack my Leaf and maintain it myself?
I don't want to be paying just to look at some pretty classic cars.

Yes to most, but it is quite limited. As I said, quite steep but it made me think about stuff and I enjoyed it as did the wife. Had it been £12ish I’d say go without hesitation

Thanks gmaz, really appreciate that!Yeah, not the cheapest tickets, but depending on what you're interested in, it can be good value for money. For me, my big area of interest currently is on the conversions, so it was great to go and see some of those and chat to the people that built them. Having spoken to a few people who did the more modern (i.e. last 20 or so years) conversions (especially the 840i, the RX8 and the MG) I now feel less daunted by some of the challenges I know I will face on my conversion as I got to find out how they overcame them.
I went on Friday too. I only stayed for two hours as I had work to get back to.
However, if you look at the agenda in terms of the talks, it was a lot more than EVs, it's actually about building a sustainable world, so there were talks on plastic pollution, walking, cycling, and home heating, and even tidal energy.
Highlight for me was being able to walk a few feet and have a sit in EVs like the iPace, e-Niro, Model 3, without having to visit each dealer.
Yes, the Tesla Owners Club volunteers who were ferrying people from the car park to the venue in their own Teslas were remarkable. I met a guy who had driven from Birmingham just to volunteer.
I managed to pick up 2 months worth of rapid charging from GeniePoint (who were trying to promote their new network), although they don't seem to have charging points within the M25 yet, so I'm unlikely to drive to Welwyn just to rapid charge for free.

Yes, we went on the Sunday. Would agree, a bit pricey.
Good exhibitions with lots of info to be gained.
Well done to the Telsa Owners Club for providing the shuttle from the car park to the exhibition wing. Hope they raised a bit for their charity.
Nice that the Silverstone 500 was on too, so some track action to watch as well... lots of engine noise at the EV show lol

Mrs Max and I went yesterday (Sunday) on a bit of a whim after seeing that the weather was going to be decent after a very wet Friday and Saturday.
We got there at 10am, didn’t leave until 5:30pm and only just about had enough time to do most of what we wanted to do.
We had a test drive of an i3S around Stowe, got to sit in and crawl all over a Model 3, e-Tron, I-Pace, e-308 and various other EVs, test rode Go-Cycle e-bikes, attended a couple of talks, and got some freebies probably worth close to the price of 1 of our tickets.
I also liked the fact that there was some racing going on, and (not having being to Silverstone before) was pleastanly surprised by quite how much of it we were able to see and hear.
We left really impressed, and will almost certainly go back next year. The Tesla transfers are a great idea - we found ourselves in a Model S each way, the 1st being a 2018 car which felt good inside (the 2nd and older one not so much - it reminded me of a big Uber Prius in the back…)

That 308 looks sweet
It was really nicely done, I think they managed to make around double the original horsepower and got the weight distribution to 50/50, so apparently it handles really well. They said they had tried with more power, but it was at the limit of what the car could handle without further modification.PerformanceEV said:

Yeah I follow them on twitter much improved over the original v8 and lighterraspy said:

They raised over £13,000 for this charity:http://www.christianblandford.com/
Having been in a few Teslas now I got a lift from the car park in Zoe - surprisingly agreeable and very comfortable. Our fine driver had driven it down from Glasgow the day before. She said it was a trouble free and pleasant trip.
I didn't enjoy the show quite so much as last year when it felt very new and special. Still a very good day out though.
