So as the future is coming fast, what do we think the dash board should be like.
Yes just now we generally have speed revs fuel tank water temperature....
if were going electric what will the vitals be ?
Yes speed will stay central but revs ? if it stays as a one speed transmission then no need to have revs,
Battery range ? Instant power ? drivetrain temperature ? battery discharge / recharge ? Battery time to fully charged ?

I imagine they’ll be similar to the Model 3, which has no display in front of the driver at all.
I’d like a head-up display with speed, navigation and nay warnings, but am happy to relegate everything else to a central screen.
I've not driven an M3 but the autopilot display in front of the driver on my MS is useful for more than just using autopilot.I’d like a head-up display with speed, navigation and nay warnings, but am happy to relegate everything else to a central screen.
Of course that display could become a HuD but to me thats a variation on a theme - in the line of sight or very close too it. . Merc are already using augmented reality with their Nav, I can see that either on the dash or a head up display giving an augmented view of the road ahead annotated accordingly with additional safety information such as corners, side roads, traffic lights, maybe highlighted with warnings where appropriate.
So I think the central display will disappear and replaced with the above, better voice control with maybe a smaller controls panel when needed.
One thing that is good to have, but that quite a few EV haven't had, is a readout of the current charge rate - so you can easily see if the charger you are using is performing properly, or if you are getting reduced power for some reason (normally temperature). From what I've seen, Teslas do this well... showing voltage, current, power input and charging 'speed' in mph.
The i3, in contrast, only shows you when it estimates 100% will be reached, which is often no use.

Lol - PMSL - revs of what? Wheels? laps of M25 remaining?Yes just now we generally have speed revs fuel tank water temperature....
