As the title suggests, im seeing lots of people on twitter offering this for UK reservation holders, I didnt think this would be available to reservation holders, but if true, its a bonus indeed!

Just thought I'd pass this info on to anyone who wasnt aware.

Yes this popped up in the Tesla app on Saturday, Listed as

500% Supercharging Boost!

The 5000 miles are 'gifted' to both the referrer and the recipient. The 'offer' is only open until the 28 May 2019 .. and it only lasts for 6 months so it is time limited - but a good deal if you are going to buy a car . It must be entered when ordered, which is different from the previous scheme, where they could be added after the order.
You also get entry to win a model Y and or a roadster as well.

If you want a code, knock yourself out : KEVIN74900

5000 miles or about £200 compared to charging at home - make the 1000 miles/£40 a bit of an insult. Better than a kick in the teeth but it anybody was wavering and can be sold on a £50k+ car because of £200 worth of leccy then that's pretty sad. If you're buying anyway - fill your boots.

What is the per mile price of using a supercharger if you have to pay?

You pay by the kwh which I think is 20p (I get it free so don't know for sure although they have been putting it then taking the price down lately, just like everything else) and as you get 3 miles from a kwh its 7p a mile. At home, I pay about 11p so a mile costs about 4p

Its not entirely clear how many kwh hours you get for your 1000 miles as in reality it's not a unit they measure.

20p/KWH is surprisingly reasonable actually. Not sure I would use more than 5-10 SC charges a year anyway.

Has the referral program ever sold a single car that wouldn't have been anyhow?

I'll make sure I use a code when I buy but I doubt I'll be using 5000 miles of supercharger.

It will have sold plenty of new ones v a used one or staying with your existing one in the past

Standard pricing is 24p Per KWH.

And when you charge the car immediately calculates the time remaining to charge to 75% - with the Model 3 should be able to pull 145KW (Currently 120KW), so very quick charging times.

And before the soothsayers come along - there are idle fees on superchargers where the stalls are more than 50% used. So users are encouraged to move along asap after charging - all reported in car and push notifications to your phone, all very slick.
