I'm considering buying one of the cheapest Model S' available. Does it represent good value when compared to a new Niro or Kona Electric?

I've also seen the £35ish ones, if they still have a few years left on the 8 year warranty then yes, good car if you do high miles and the second hand ones come with lifetime free charging.

Personally now it looks like the model 3 is going to be £31k I'll be getting one of those.

its a mixed bag

from what i have read their EV tech and ICE is way ahead of every one else, hence the massive performance, they have been developing it a lot longer of course

the fit and finish is behind pretty much everyone else, but improving

where the real problem for me lies is in the support network and the cost of parts, support is very poor and parts are massively expensive (watch rich rebuilds on youtube)

I am still very tempted by a series 3 D, for 10k over the base price you get the interior upgrade, largest battery and 4.5sec 60

my other concern is that the technology is evolving very quickly atm, tesla keep improving the batteries, the model 3 has a new design over the S and X

I'd wait for a few days until the impact of Tesla's revised pricing strategy on its new cars has properly filtered down onto existing cars.

Tesla made some very big reductions in the cost of new factory order cars last night. It is going to create much more than a few ripples in the value of existing cars.

Depends. It's hard to compare against the Hyundai and Kia because neither are really available right now due to limited stock availability.
