Share your experiences!

I have a serious want for one as a station car/runaround. They’re so ridiculous but would serve a purpose very well.

Should I be scared about a £3500 12 plate that has done some miles?

Are they DIY serviceable?

What do you make of parking one on a public road overnight? Magnet for pished students wanting to turn it over etc?

Have a look over on the SpeakEV forums

https://www.speakev.com/forums/renault-twizy/

Personally I wouldn't touch an electric Renault with someone else's bargepole. Twizy, not a chance - novelty promo car with crap range, unbelievable hard ride and most are running with leased batteries so not even cheap to run.

If you want to try before you buy, pop down to Blenheim Palace and rent one there to bimble around the grounds.

Yes had one for 3 years. Paid £4000 sold for £3500. Great fun and had the tuning box for higher acceleration and top speed which makes it even better.almost no cost to run except the bloody battery rental which I was paying £30/ month on a 3 year deal but probably now £45 .
If the battery rental was scrapped I would buy another.used through winter .4 winter tyres cost £100 .ive posted a few videos on YouTube (subevo35)of changing brake pads etc.they do suffer from sticking calipers but no problem if you do the spanner work yourself.4 year warranty from new .mine had a charger fail which was covered. if not your looking at £1000.also buy one with windows if possible .good for winter and rain.buy one so you still have the warranty I.e a 3 year old one..with 1 year left.. weighs 450kg no chance of tipping over by chavs .very low centre of gravity.
