Won't take much Googling to come up with any number of stories along those lines.

Whatever it is, it will have been covered before.

I've driven an electric car quite regularly for about 4 years, I've never killed anyone?!

and yet you provide not a single link to one, which suggests they can be pulled apart with little effort.

I along with many are not convinced that electric vehicles are the answer (that said I am not sure what the answer is, maybe Hydrogen, maybe!) but at the same time I am not gullible enough just to sit here stroking my beard agreeing with you....

Bicycles. The silent killer.

Because it's not like bikes or cars have people in them with their eyes open in full control or anything.

You need to try harder. 3 schoolkids, 2 oaps and a penguin this morning. Ecotricity are offering free charges when you get to 100 points.

I see the OP is struggling to come to terms with the fact that ICE is in it's death throes and that EV is going to - for an absolute fact - replace them smile

It's funny and pitiful at the same time, watching the Hater's become incredibly gammon and turning to ever-more pathetic arguments to support an already-lost cause. Same with that LPG bloke; psychiatrist's love that sort of thing, utter denial in the face of overwhelming facts. smile I guess they fall into the same category as Flat-Earthers.

Good job all those modern, well silenced ICE city cars that literally make no noise when driven at 10mph (other than tyre noise) have external sounders to make sure people here them....oh no....wait....that's just electric cars isn't it. Sorry, I was distracted by your trolling there for a moment. Thanks.

Having had 6L V8 with practically straight throughs and an EV, I can confirm it makes no difference. Darwinism factor hasn't changed to many DMFs.

If you're going to troll, at least put some effort in to it. This is just lazy

think I'm on record as being hugely in favour of the ICE and not liking EVs.

AND (no word of a lie) I was knocked over by a Tesla........at granted low speed in Central London.

Dangerous bloody things I agree.

In Mr Tesla's defence.........I was pissed, and I dropped my kebab on his bonnet.

I did apologise when I stood up..........and I wasn't injured, and it was entirely my fault for walking in front of him.

I wouldn't have done it if it was a shouty V8 though.

Still think the OP is not trying very hard however.

I've had some offensively loud cars in the past and people still cross the road into your path without looking.

At least in an electric car you will assume people aren't going to hear you so you can make allowances for them (or give them a courtesy toot).

Totally agree, the PistonHeads mantra is “loud exhausts save lives”.

I cycle on a fairly fast but not that busy bit of road and get passed quite regularly by a couple of Telsa and a Leaf they are far from quiet. With the amount of road noise etc I can't really tell the difference between them as any other modern legally exhausted ICE car tbh

I prefer to give a quick beep of the horn.

But each to their own wink
