I think electric cars are the future but with tesla its like there is a car crash to come. The drugs on TV and the selling methods being employed - its like they are desperate to sell as many as they can as something is sitting in the back ground. I fear that Tesla will collapse as soon as the major players come on line

Except that, besides Tesla, none of the other players is building the charging network to go with the cars. That, for me, is the deal breaker with the other options.

Is the summary of all that - Tesla is going bankrupt soon??

If so please feel free to join in the already dozen or so thread with the same message.

The news of Tesla going bankrupt is not new - your about 8 years late. Usually the prediction is tomrrow, but sometimes it gets delayed by a week - though we all know its going to happen just when.

However if you can predict the future thats a great skill better used on the financial markets than on a internet car forum smile.

Umm except VAG, BMW, Mercedes, Ford and others have all signed up to build one big one with 800v charging.

Tesla have had quite a few successful EVs on the trot whilst the other manufacturers haven't even got out of the stalls.

Quick, email those multi national companies. I think you have identified a key problem in their plan that they have foolish overlooked...this could save them billions,,,!

I think another big advantage Tesla has is the giga-factory. They are now building more batteries than the rest of the planet combined and hence have got the cost lower than anyone else. No other auto OEM is doing this.

The German OEMs won't have anything on the market for another 1-2yrs, and Hyundai / JLR are battery supply constrained.

The market has switched to EVs much faster than the traditional OEMs expected (hoped!) - look at JLR's news today.

I'd rather be in Tesla's shoes than an OEM reliant on diesels.

Yes but (Insert manufacturer here) have just announced (insert vaporware here) coming out soon (min 2 years), ergo Tesla are finished.

The market has switched has it? Still very few EVs out there as far as I can see.

And JLR’s problems are more to do with poor government policy than the rise of EVs.

But you believe what you want.

Bankruptcy wasn't the end of the world for GM. Tesla just has to keep a tight reign on things and hope that Musk doesn't go any more bucking mental.
