So there's a few of these Destination Chargers (Tesla branded Type-2) at a hotel near my office that I stay at occasionally.

Weirdly they also work in my PHEV (not a Tesla).

On Thursday, Tesla announced that it would work with building managers to install free charging infrastructure—the building would only have to pay for the cost of the electricity.

I'm hoping this comes to the UK and Europe fairly quickly. Especially after the budget where workplace charging was no longer considered a benefit and thus incurs no BIK.

Why is it weird they work on your phev? They’re type 2 chargers. When you see multiple ones at hotels etc, the ones with a red sign sign are only linked to Tesla only, white signs are for any car.

It it’s laughable really, a charger is a small cost compared to the wiring and electrical installation costs etc required, often groundwork is needed, but Tesla get a bit of cheap advertising.
