Evening.

last minute doubts beofre ordering the 330e Sport.

Went past VW today and they had a GTE outside (Golf) to be fair it looked great in a nice grey, not got time to wait for a test drive on one but seems to come loaded with tech compared to the outgoing F30 3 series.

I really like the digital dash in the 5 series I tried and the GTE has this, Pan roof is affordable and as I cant get the professional nav in the BMW the screen looks more quality in the golf
Has anyone got any words of wisdom for me to keep me away from it biggrin

Genuinely though has anyone got one or tried one? done much research on one? even better is you test drove the GTE and the 330E.

Thanks

Driving a GTE on Sunday. Own an F80 M3, will let you know what I think of the build quality, gadget count and overall impression.

The GTE was great to drive. Plenty fast, smooth, comfortable and all the tech you could ever want in a car. Build quality wise I would not have any concern, it was very well screwed together.

Interesting to hear thanks, opted for the 330e in the end, Golf is a very nice looking car nowadays,

Good choice, cannot go wrong with any 3 series model. If the Golf battery range was closer to 40 miles in real world conditions I think I would have gone for it. Trying to get information on the e-Golf is like getting blood from a stone. Seems dealers haven't got a clue when it is coming to the UK.

I know you could keep adding 20 miles to the range but I think if they could get it near 60 - 80 the golf would be a no brainer for alot of people.

I could live with that and be happy to move from my i3.

Hoping BMW are going along these lines with next 3 series or X3.
