Can someone explain wireless charging at the EV scale to me? Pretty much everything I've read about it points to huge inefficicency, it is between 40 and 60% efficient depending on frequency. Now that is fine when you are charging an iPhone, you are shoving a few watts in and losing a handful. But doing this with a 10 or 20 kW charge, implies a large number of kilowatts being shed as heat. This seems dangerous (it's going to get very hot....) and wasteful.
