Volvo are stopping any development on diesel engines and launching 5 new EV's in 2019

This signals the watershed moment for EV's IMO

I'd not call it a watershed moment (maybe for Volvo). It's really just more/another step in moves towards hybrids and full EVs for the entire industry

Auto car says five EVs by 2021 of which two will be pricy polestars - so not five in 2019. I think I will only have the ipace or a tesla as choice to replace my i3 with (contract up in December 2018) if I get another electric car. If I do get on eit needs 200+ miles electric range (75-85 not enough) and i3 is too small (5 seats)

Interesting interview on the latest Fullycharged on Youtube. Apparently, the economics of EVs have finally reached the big money brokers of the world - they sniff profit. That is what will make it happen.
