Tesla S 75 or 75D
Discussion
Have watched and read a few reviews on the S and the 75 is good enough on range and performance for us..
but a couple of nods toward the D being a bit better in the handling and ride department has lead me to question if its worth the extra 5k for the D?
Looking to pick a stock car up over the next couple of weeks, any must have options to look out for?

The D cars have marginally better range, traction isn't really an issue on the 75 cars.
Options partly depend what your after, the 'premium pack' really adds very little for additional cost, where as I suspect your find it hard to sell it on in a few years if leather isn't a option.
We have the subzero pack on ours and heated steering wheel is great. Do wish we opted for premium sound though.
Autopilot can be activated at a later date so not really a deal breaker.
Good luck car searching, and don't be afraid to take lots of test drives, I did about 4 before ordering ours
Don't forget to use a referral link/code for £750 off on a new car and free for life supercharging.

Not much in it on the 75. Options are very personal, a fairly frank opinion of each is on here, but what you value isn't the same as what others do. The non leather seats have a cult hankering by vegans who also like the green credentials fir example.

A mate just bought an X with part leather I think but 5 seats. I thought it would limit resale but they may still be rare as hens teeth in 4 years when his pcp is up I suppose. http://tesla.savemylegs.com/buy.php#options
Thanks gents, popped into tesla at bordeaux to have a look, thought we wanted the pearl white seeing a stock one at chiswick online but that looked gopping so glad i saw that!
Silver or the grey suit the facelift much better imo but thats subjective...
Very helpfull assistant gave me the low down on hardware 1 v 2, the two different glass roofs.
Didnt think i wanted premium leather till i saw the difference the two tone in cream with alacantara was so so much better
She advised that air suspension was a must if on larger wheels but im nor bothered about them tbh, 17s with air susp. Is where we'll be at most likely
Didnt drive it as i didnt have time, i know we'll like it, been in one and driven the i3 and love the delivery and ev experience from i3, besides, its the only company car option we're being given who are we to argue!
Looking forward to playing with the gadgets as much (if not more) than driving the car tbh
Will look at full options when i get the time, happy to put the 'D' money into the options now though...

Can I use your referral code for the S75D that I have just placed an order for?
The dealer will add it to my order as it remains unconfirmed.
Is the premium sound worthy of the additional cost? I am seriously torn.
Thanks.

Congrats on your order btw, be thankful your soon be driving around in one of the safest cars on the road.
A Seat decided it wanted to really see my X in great detail yesterday afternoon. The pictures say it all.
I was off on the nursery run, and next thing I know I was doing a 180 spin facing the wrong way!!!
The Tesla took the hit amazingly well, though hitting the kerb shattered one of the wheels.... The universal opinion of the firecrew that turned up to clear the road was 'I want a Tesla' after seeing the difference in damage. Even the FWD on the side that took the impact still worked!!
No one was hurt and the insurance companies now doing their thing.... I'm really glad the center of gravity is so low in Teslas, any other car and I think I would have ended up upside-down as well as facing the wrong way!!

That's nice, don't expect easy repair though. Thanks for your link and I am glad everyone is OK, if not the cars.
I think the relative mass of the vehicles accounts for much of the benefit. Alongside all of the more overt safety features.
Take care and I hope you are back on the road again soon.

gangzoom - I have just used your referral code as well. 75D, midnight silver, autopilot. It is one of the 'showroom models' although this one hasn't even reached the UK yet, so saved a bit as well.

I'm now back in a loaner Tesla whilst mine is fixed, it really is like going back in time when you have to drive a combustion car again after getting use to EVs. Even though the combustion hire car had a DSG box it was so crude compared to the power delivery on an EV.
The wait is worst.....than when you get to the day of pick up, even though they go to the effort of hiding it, all I wanted to do was get in it and drive!!!

Yes, they don't list all the cars.As im struggling a bit with the stock list at the moment, quite empty for 75s
If you have an idea what you want, give them a call and usually they can tell you if anything is coming down the line or if an order has been cancelled but shipped.

Yes. There is stuff in transit that doesn't show up on the online list, apparently. The two I saw details on, as they were the closest in spec to what I was looking for, both looked like good value for the asking price as well.As im struggling a bit with the stock list at the moment, quite empty for 75s
I only found out when I was in the showroom talking to the sales guy (rather than the meet and greet staff).
As of 2 days ago, there was a 75, basic spec (no options) for £62,615. Should be arriving in the UK early next week I believe.
I would suggest stopping by a showroom and having a chat.
