30 stolen EV's in ireland
Discussion
On the irish EV owners group, a stolen leaf was traced to a warehouse in newry where apparently the police found approx. 30 stolen EV's being broken for parts. It's been suggested that the thieves were using some kind of booster device to boost the cars remote unlocking signal so that the cars keycard gave them access without having to be stolen along with the car.
Haven't seen anything in the news so no idea if this is rumour or fact at the moment. Owners are now talking about keeping their keys in a metal biscuit tin to protect them?

They need to keep their keys in one of these when not in use: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOBSHIELD-faraday-cage-f...

Its not like the PSNI to have broadcast it if its true...
The flip side is, Newry is a dodgy hole so anythings possible.

If you're referring to the alleged manner in which they were stolen: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=16...Gassing Station | EV and Alternative Fuels | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
