Hi all. I've just had my F Sport serviced by the local dealership and I don't know what they've done (software update) but the car seems to be running significantly more on battery than before.

It runs the battery lower down too so it's using more of the charge than before (which I always thought it did so as to protect the cells?).

All resulting in another 80 miles per tank! It'll help pay for the service (which wasn't cheap as it was a big one - £345)!

So if you're debating going for a main dealer or an independent garage, make sure they have the ability to put the latest software on the car

out of interest what is the MPG or l/100km you are getting with your CTs?

Also OP - what do you think of the car? What year is it?

I have been tempted on and off by these for some time. IMHO the F-Sport version of the CT200h seems rather under-rated.

I love my 2015 F Sport. I'm getting (now) 500 miles per tank. Which only costs me £44 to fill up (I don't worry about actual mpg).

Its extremely comfy to drive long distances. Not great on purely motorway miles (440 miles per tank) but then the batteries aren't working as they should.

Yes I would certainly recommend one. Good looks, relatively quick in sport mode and cheap to run (zero tax too).

So are the stories of an horrendously crashy ride not true? Or is that earlier cars?

I'm not sure what 'crashy' ride means but no, I'm happy with the ride. Sporty enough to handle well but not horrendously sloppy like my wife's Auris is.

From 2014 there was changes to the chassis and software for the CVT gearbox. I have the f sport and get 49mpg across country. On journeys giving a. Mixed drive I get 60 plus.

Every review I read for the early cars suggested there was an overly firm ride which was less than ideal on broken (ie all UK) road surfaces. If that's been tweaked for the post 14 facelifts, great.

Interesting. I got mine serviced last month and this week saw 60mpg on a commute I usually only get 50mpg on. I put it down to the warmer weather and a tail wind but might be software related now you mention it.
