Leaf owners - timed climate control question
Discussion
So I've set the climate control for 07:30 every weekday morning as shown by the dealer. Confirmed I'm doing it right as per the handbook, but it's not turning on. When I get in the car at 07:30, 07:35 or 07:40, it's still cold. The screen is misted up and it shows no signs of having been on.
So, I was thinking, does it only turn on if it's currently on charge? The book seems to say it will turn on as long as there's at least 15% battery. It's never been below 50% since I got it on Tuesday.
Once I've got this bit sorted, I have many, many other questions. Hope another Leaf owner can help!

For the incsr preheat screen to work it has to be plugged in. The phone app however will let you set a time and it'll work without been plugged in.
Ah right! That explains it!Thanks for the reply. Do you know if you can set the temp/blow mode independently, or does it just do the last setting you had on?

When using the in car nav system timer there is a temp setting in the menu. Thanks for the reply. Do you know if you can set the temp/blow mode independently, or does it just do the last setting you had on?
I always leave the air direction settings where I want them, Eg Windscreen and Footwell and the fan speed on 2 squares. it works very well.
Never used it unplugged with the app so don't know how much juice it takes.
Sorry guys your wrong - in the menu you have a decision on pre heat with over 15% battery or only when on charge - select pre heat on battery.
"It’s important to check the Timer Priority button as this tells the car when connected and charging if charging or climate control is more important. I’ve opted for that the Climate Control timer has priority and activates if the battery charge exceeds 15%. Also note, once you have set the climate control timer and there is an upcoming event there is a orange light above the Climate Control Auto button on the heater controls to let you know it’s set."

I can't get it to work when not charging. I've set climate control to have priority, and charge is always above 15% (usually above 50%) but it's never come on until this morning, when I put it on charge to give it a little extra.
I can only conclude that the in-car timer one will not activate if the vehicle is not charging. The one from the phone app comes on whenever I ask it to, but I can't work out how to set the settings for that either.
