new Leaf lease deals just gone up?
Discussion
It's a PCP. Order form (inc vat) shows:
Value 25520 before VAT
Discount 7956
Total: 22332 (inc vat and reg fee)
Finance deposit allowance: 1400
Grant: 4500
My deposit: 198
RCI 16234
The guaranteed future value was in the £13k region, which is more realistic than the £15.5k for my current 24Kw version.
ETA: That's 6000 miles pa

I read the new version has 60Kwh, but not until 2018. I'd imagine the PCP price will rise in line with battery capacity rather than list price.
My deal was through Nissan Wirral. It's the Nissan friends / family plan, but I'd never met the salesman before and he was happy to obtain a code, so guess it's in their interest to sell an extra Leaf or two.

I've been into the dealers today (my current Leaf PCP ends April). The best I could get was a tekna 24Kw on 10k PA for £340 a month over 2 year or £268 per month over 3 year. That's with Nissan Staff discount and a deposit of £349. I'll wait and see if there's any better deals over the next few month. It's nowhere near the £185 per month (2 years) that I'm currently paying!!!

An MFV of £13k is absolute madness from Nissan, it won't be worth anything like that come 24 months time.Value 25520 before VAT

I sell Renault and have access to the same system that Nissan use, I have put all Tekna's in as I don't know which one it is that relates to yours, and the best MFV I can get is £8074 and monthlies approx. £200 pm more.

The GFV on the two quotes that I got this morning were £11600 on a 24 month deal or £10200 on a 36 month deal.I sell Renault and have access to the same system that Nissan use, I have put all Tekna's in as I don't know which one it is that relates to yours, and the best MFV I can get is £8074 and monthlies approx. £200 pm more.

Two salesmen discussed this 'negative equity' situation openly whilst I was there. Apparently they consider my 21 month old Tekna to be worth £10k (they'd probably give it a wash and put it on forecourt @ £12k or thereabouts). As the GFV was in the £15,000s, they receive a cheque (their words... surely a bank transfer these days!?) for the difference.
For any doubt, the figures I quoted above are for a 30Kwh Tekna. I pick it up on the 20th, but my guess is that it's on display in the showroom (can't see there being many others in bright red!).

I've rang just about every Nissan dealer in the South and a large number in the midlands and northwest. Not one of them can get anywhere near the £189 down £189 monthly deal that's being quoted on here, most simply don't bother to call back...
We would love another Leaf when ours goes back in March but not at the kind of comedy pricing that Nissan are quoting for a new one!!
Has any one spoken to RCI recently about their options when the PCP deal finishes? I know they will clear down the difference between the GFV and current market value for those wanting to get into another Leaf early but wondered if there is anything else on offer that might allow to extend the PCP or to buy the car at a realistic price?

I wouldn't say the pricing is "comedy" more in line with what it actually should be.
Leaf and ZOE have been cheap, by stupidly high residuals and high deposit contributions and discounts, Renault and Nissan can't sustain it anymore.
I understand that High residuals helped "massage" PCP prices when we "bought" our car, I fully expected to pay a bit more in two years time for another. However, being asked to stump up well over another £3k for the same car this time is a bit rich particulariy when put in context with what else could be bought/leased for the same kind of outlay..Leaf and ZOE have been cheap, by stupidly high residuals and high deposit contributions and discounts, Renault and Nissan can't sustain it anymore.
Most people took a Leaf on 2 years ago simply because it was just too cheap not too, Nissan are really going to struggle to retain these customers if they can't soften the blow for those coming out of the really cheap deals in Feb/March.
Here's some news on the new one:
http://driveev.net/2017/01/06/next-nissan-leaf-to-...
60Kwh, autonomous driving. A few hundred extra hp would be a nice touch, but no mention of that.
When I next talk to 'my' salesman, I'll ask what he can offer today. He did mention in late Dec that the offer I had needed December registration, but I will actually end up with a 2017 car (I get the feeling that he 'lost' the car he'd first sold me as it mysteriously changed from white / December delivery to red / January delivery).

Having very much enjoyed my leaf for nearly 2 years I am sorry to say I have ordered a Kia Rio today (500 down 48 x 167 pcp, 1.25 petrol se if anyone's interested). Like the poster above I rang round loads of dealers a couple of weeks ago, most haven't bothered getting back to me and those that did wanted over 4 times what I am paying currently (1200 down 116 pm).
I'll be sorry to be taking what I see as a step backwards!
Is anyone actually going to buy a leaf for over £400 a month????
