Pretty annoying mistake today compounded by Source London

Forgot my card today and before I realised it I've plugged in the 3 pin (door not usually locked), and locked door.

So no charging and now the plug is trapped. No problem I thought, 24 hour support... Anyway without my card the Source London procedure book tells operator not to deal with me as "I cannot be identified". They could look at my phone, ask my address, reg number, car model, anything if only their process allowed their operators to use their intelligence.

Great. My own fault initially but I hate processes that fail to take into account what must be an incredibly common mistake their customers make. So anyone trying to get onto one of the the Berners St points, please accept my apologies but the car is locked in the machine today. I'll take the train home tonight and bring the card tomorrow.

What a faff.

Why not post up on speakev to see if a friendly member will come and release you with their card? Must be someone there or here in central London who'll help out.

Actually if there's someone with a card maybe they can start the charger for a couple of hours first

fyi I also noticed today that Q park chargers are no longer part of source London, so, don't go parking in one expecting to access chargers. Instead, they are moving to Polar.

Interesting thanks, though their extorionate parking fees compared with free in westminster on the street means their charging facilities are of acedemic interest only
