I'm waiting on my fleet guy getting her bum in gear and getting a c350e ordered.... If the deal lapses I'll have to look elsewhere.

Has anyone tried a 225xe? I'm not sure I can get over the old man looks, although you can config them to be not too bad.

i8 drivetrain fitted, decent spec, just iffy looks.

what do they drive like? Should be better on fuel being the 1.5...

No idea

Looking at my new company policy I can take a Golf GTE with a upgrade for £100/m inc tax and fuel card or nearly double that for the 225xe (big upgrade cost), there isn't enough information out there on the 225xe for me. Should hopefully be ordering in the next 6 months.

Cheaper to upgrade into a Golf GTE nav and retain a benefit fuel card than take any of the diesels on my grade with the card. I do enough personal miles to get benefit from the card on a diesel so not even worth dropping that.

If you drive one, let me know how it goes!

Heart says I'd like the faster, more spacious, 4 wheel drive BMW, head says £100 on the golf and pocket the rest!

Well, took one for a drive today. Its quite alright, not as well resolved/smooth as the c350e. I reckon it'll use less fuel though.

Its less to lease than the golf GTE, comes with more kit/space also. Even speccing it up still leaves it cheaper. Its the same BIK as a golf and the same price so I can't see where your extra cost is coming from?

Company car policy, 140 contribution a month to upgrade my entitlement, golf gte is only 40 a month to upgrade. Tax on both with fuel card is about 60 quid.
