There is a tesla supercharge 120watt charge point at Bluewater shopping mall in Kent... It claims to be a type 2 plug. Can I plug the Phev in? Will it blow up? Neither the Tesla site nor mitsubishi site give a definitive answer..

I would be inclined to say no, mainly as it is only for Tesla cars where the use of it is included in the price of the car.

No.. Super chargers are DC, they just happen to use the same T2 AC connector (the cars use the same connector for both). Even if it was compatible from an electric point of view, the Chargers authenticate with the car as some early Teslas had super charging as an option. It's a shame all chargers don't do this, if you could register your car and not need to worry about waving a smart card around would be a lot less hassle.

You won't blow it up, but if you park in a tesla bay, especially in a busy location, you're likely to have your car blown up by disgruntled tesla owners. We're seeing an increasing number of cars try it, so good for you for asking.
