What a terrible report. Full of misinformation and ignored all the good points!

What misinformation?

The users said they how easy they were to drive and they were quiet and one said the Zoe was a lot quicker than expected and didn't drive like a donkey. You can charge them in the peeing down rain.

Mr Bentley liked the i3 but the Rex feature was thirsty but useful. A criticism that i3 owners have made themselves.

The range meter in the zoe in particular was criticised for those that don't realise the heater reduced range but then you see the same person shivering because they can't have the heater on as they won't reach where they're going. Again what misinformation is that? That's an accurate description. If you use the heater the range is reduced. If you using it for near the max range then you can't have the heater on or other electrical draws that reduce range if you can't charge it up. That was the point. Where she was going didn't have a charge point there, when she got there or on the way back.

10 hours to charge at home? No EV owner charge from a normal socket. 3 hours is more accurate.
Using the radio reduces range? Nonsense.
All EV drivers suffer from range anxiety. Nonsense.
Showed public charging and gained 4 miles range. Why not show a rapid that can add 40 miles in 15 mins?

The eh up user mentioned 4 hours to charge.

An EV is like having a petrol car with a 2 gallon tank. It is going to cause range anxiety issues.

Perhaps Mr Bentley didn't use a rapid charger because there wasn't one there? If that is where he normally goes to get whatever it was is it not fairer to expect that people will prefer to carry on with their normal routine rather than go off miles to find the one tesco with a rapid charger to make a point? Most ones near me are the 7kw/h type. That's 3 hours for 20 odd kw/ minimum. There aren't the 40 odd kw/h type as they are on motorway service stations not in town centres.

The one rapid charger near me not at a service station is out of service and has been since last month. That's at a car dealers. I have the zap map app.

Thanks for the EV lesson. I've done 23,000+ miles in my battery only i3 so I'm fully aware of the pros and cons. I thought the gadget show article was misleading and I'm not alone.

My neighbor charges their i3 from a normal socket, charging lead through the house window.

They didn't even mention the hassle of different connector types or different cards needed for different charger networks.

That's very unusual as you can get a heavily subsidised 32A charging point for less than £100.

Possibly rented and the landlord won't allow it, but that is pure guess work.

I wasn't impressed with it as a review either , however it does highlight that Joe Public possibly isn't ready for an EV yet. It still felt particularly biased to me though.
