Discussion
Good question, Frimley. 99% of the EV posts on here discuss lease deals - resale value's not an issue when you renting a car. Look on eBay to see what used EVs are selling for. If the government's £5k sweetener disappears, used prices must fall a bit. I do wish dealers would be compelled to say if their used Zoes are the 'i' versions or not. Most Leaf ads tend to say if they're Flex or not. eBay should have a subcategory for 'Fuel, 'Electricity' to show if the batteries are included or not.
Leaf second hand prices are for nothing. Buying a 2 year old car for 11k is possible or £10k without a battery lease for a 4 year old car. Their prices plummet and make a great choice for a cash buyer.
Outright cars can be had for £6k if you search hard enough.
When the new model arrives with higher battery capacity, then will be the time to buy as long as your commute fits with the 85 mile range of the old model..
Prices will only get cheaper as technology and acceptance moves forward. I predict 3 year old cars going for £4k within a year without battery lease..
All IMO

I'd agree.
If you buy a car on FLEX / non-i then forget selling it on - nobody wants an ongoing lease for the battery.
I think you either lease the car (when it doesn't matter how the battery is provided) or you buy it including battery.
I've noticed that Renault dealers seem to be particularly st at advertising their cars. Lots of cars listed as being the i-models but when you ring that have always been done by mistake and while they are talking to you can they interest you in a xyz

WBAC offered 2750 for my '12plate leaf with 23k on the clock....
main dealer offered 4.... thought both offers were pretty rubbish.
