Hello

Im due to renew my company car in March 2016, I was looking at moving from a 520d to a Mitsubushi Outlander PHEV and capturing the tax saving.

What alternatives are there coming through with less than 50g C0 for March 1st delivery ?

I have heard of an Audi A6 etron but I cant find any information .

Anyone any news of a list of future tax beaters ?.

With thanks
David

The VW Passat will get the GTE powertrain (1.4 TSI 115 kW engine + 85 kW motor) and about 35g/km if you need something big.
Volvo XC90 T8 is 49 g/km.

Not much else for large vehicles to be honest.

Aren't BMW due to release their 330e in the new year?

The Passat GTE opens for orders in Oct for delivery early 2016, there is also the Mercedes C350e which was on 9 months delivery a couple of months ago

I've got an Outlander GX3+ 2016 model on order for delivery late Oct to replace an Insignia Sri VXLine Red diesel. The P11D savings on less than 50 CO2 are a no brainer but the only one with a big enough boot for Oct is the Outlander. The 2016 models have some improvements & the 3+ has the electric heater so you can warm/cool/defrost on mains electric while it is plugged in. Without the electric heater it fores up the petrol engine to warm/ cool even if you have a full charge. There are some dealer guides to the 2016 model out which I have a copy of

The Outlender goes well for a 4wd but I will miss the midrange torque of the Insignia and reasonable handling for a co. car but I have an old MX5 for fun !

Out of choice I would have gone for a Passat GTE estate but it's not available in time for me. The C350e estate boot is very shallow. If you want to try the powertrain of the Passat GTE, Arthur Prince of Loughborough had a Golf GTE demonstrater that went very well but was too small for me ( family of 4 + 2 dogs, one a boxer who goes in the boot)
