I'm starting a new commute soon, into Docklands, and it'll be a 64-mile round trip if I don't use the train (which I don't want to). Bike is an option, but having run the calcs, leasing something like a Zoe at c.£150/month would also be very cost-effective…..except…..I'd need to park it. I'm not too worried about charging, I think it should stand the 64 mile round trip fairly reliably (?) but the only way it would be cost effective is if I can park cheaply.

I've googled til I'm square in the eye but I can't find much info about this, only where the charging points are. Does anyone know of any real availability of free, or very cheap, parking anywhere within striking distance of the Isle of Dogs? I would consider an option where I have to jump on the DLR for the final stretch, although that of course introduces extra cost, but may be the only way to make this work?

Thanks.

I used to live on Narrow Street and rented a parking spot at a neighbouring residential development to keep a second car. A quick search on gumtree shows that plenty are available in E14 from around £25pw.

60-70 mile round trip shouldn't be an issue.
