I'm just looking into purchasing a Renault Zoe, but feel I need more information on the home charger install offered by British Gas, as I would rather not have any extra costs.

I'm not sure what info is helpful, the fuse board is in the house, nowhere near where I would park, but there is power to the garage which is separate to the house. Just wondered what is involved from any one who has had the charger install done?

Thanks for any info.

Don't use BG. Go straight to Charegemaster. You are less likely to be charged for an extended cable run.

Mine sounds a similar situation as yours with me wanting the charger to be on the garage wall but the main fuses in the house. However the cable going to the existing power points in the garage was sufficient for BG to just tap in to this supply and run the new cable to the charger from there. No extra cost involved, installed within about a week of ordering the leaf and the installer cleaned up the mess afterwards so overall a very good experience.
