Everyone's gone on about how theyve managed to eek out an extra 10 miles by driving at 1/2mph etc.
Turning this ideoligy on its head.
Whats the lowest range people have achieved?

I'll start.

Collected my spankers Leaf from the dealers yesterday evening on 100% charge/92 mile range.
23miles later arived at home with 51%/29 miles remaining!
Had heaters on full, heated seat and steering wheel, headlights on and Thunderstruck bellowing out of the Bose at deafening levels, whilst maintaining a speed acceptable in the faster of the two lanes of the dual carraigway.
Maybe not in with the correct ethos of EV driving, but blinking fun!

That's funny! I see myself going down the same routesmile

Off topic... Did you get your home charger yet? Did they insist on any remedial work to your consumer unit etc?
I fear ours will need an update and just wondered how much It may cost.

That's the beauty of the might Leaf, electricity cost so little (or nothing) that you might as well have a good old hoon if you don't need the range. Of course it's no Ferrari but the turn of pace from 0-40 would shame many a conventional car.

Just sorting with Solelectric currently. The consumer unit in our house is far too old and would need replacing before they'd even entertain the idea of connecting upto it. Luckily, the annex has its own supply and had all of its electricks rewired in 2007, so to keep expense to a minimum, were going to take the feed from that. Trouble is, the parking area is some 40m from the box, so just seeing if I can supply the cable for them as they want £10pm and I can get 6mm armoured 3 core for about £3pm from Screwfix. Saying that, have just been informed that I need to bury all of the cable to 2ft! So will have to see what I do, just want to get it all sorted before the grant changes on 13th April.

For the first 100 miles or so the Guessometer is just that, not overly accuarate, however 23 miles and 49% usage is spanking it.

My driving man maths suggest average driving below 60ish 1% = 1 mile, above that 1.5% per mile, less if you go over the number on the blue circle at the side of the road.

I managed 100% to 26% over 40 miles but it included 28 miles of Motorway at 7am on a Saturday morning :-)

I love the drive to the charging point for a free suck on the electric teat. Eco off and surf the wave of torque (up to 40 mph) smile
