The fllippin' Type 2 to Type 1 cable I bought has broken. Car charges fine off the 13A Mains Plug charger but I now can't use my outdoor charge point.

The company I bought it off are on a shutdown until a week Monday. Baaah. So it will be a fortnight before I can charge the car up outside my house - it has to be done in the garage,

The Porsche is having to live outside and my Vectra is sat on the drive (with a fuse out so it's electric windows don't work).

I know I could just go to work in the Porsche/Vectra but that's not the point! Baaaaahhh!

biggrin

First world problems, eh?

Out of interest, what's broken on it?

I reckon it's something in the soldering between the cable wire and the Type 2 end. But taking it apart and mending it is the supplier's problem, not mine. It's under warranty. I've just got to wait for them to be back in the office!

Bless you. That's very kind. I'm a tad far away, though, in Hampshire. Fear not I can use my 13A charger to charge the car overnight. I'll be contacting my supplier shortly and I'm sure they'll help.

I might indeed get a spare. My cable is just 5 metres. Might get a 10 metre one for extra flexibility...
