Hi all,

I have a Zoe on order and am currently trying to sort out the home charger point with Chargemaster. They've asked whether I want tethered or untethered, but I've no idea which one is the better option.

Can anyone offer an opinion or advice?

Untethered means the cable is separate and plugs into the charger. Tethered means the cable is fixed to the charger.
With an untethered charger you can change the cable if you get another EV with a different plug standard to the Zoe (Leaf for example). So tethered is better, but not worth a huge premium unless you are planning on getting a different EV in the next few years. Zoe follows the Euro EV plug standard (type 2), so tethered is probably a safe bet in the long run.
Get 32A if your house wiring can support it - the alternative is 16A. Zoe will charge at 32A. 32A 230V will charge Zoe up in around 3.5 hours.

If you have 3 phase wiring, then consider a 3 phase charger as Zoe supports that too...full charge in 1 hour!
